Zhenne Wood's Evolving Works! - "Green Elephant Doll in Progress"

The fabric of the body of this elephant doll is a fine cotton batik print.  I bought it specifically to make a green elephant from...the coloration makes me think of elephants walking in springtime morning mist.  I have also painted on top of it with fabric paints and there will be more painting done as it continues to evolve.

I use shell to make tusks...it is embellished as well with beads and sequins and wears a gold leaf skirt.
