...the little green elephant princess will have a parasol!!!!
The costume pieces and jewelry seen on this evolving figure are in flux...as different elements are pulled into its orbit...they come and go...pinned and unpinned...until the finished piece stands whole and complete.

...the musician horsedoll has been moving from spare to lush, simple to opulent ~ with an Egyptian touch to her costume. Her mane, not shown in this photo, is becoming a full on splendid thing ~ the construction of her sequinned Egyptian print overskirt allows for practical carrying of her black bamboo flute. This doll has already been sold, and I am finishing it now for the collector. I will be most happy to make you the horsedoll of your dreams on a commission basis. I have made many kinds of horsedolls ~ some look Native American, East Indian, Persian, Tibetan, and on and on. What kind of horsedoll do you fancy? A sorceress from an unknown land? A pair of sister horses in sequinned dancing dresses? Brother Horsedolls? White, black, golden, paintedpinto?

This horse now has a fuller name..."Summertime StorySharing HorseDoll". It continues to evolve and here it is making its way through Muir Woods National Monument Redwoods in California (ah! the wonders of Photoshop...I am recently discovering the joys of adding my figures to landscapes, using photographs that I have taken out of doors.)

...I beekeeping on working on this BeeKeeper...also, a commissioned piece (doll, sculpture, figure, artwork...what shall I call these things I make? Once, a friend said to me, "I know what to call everything you make...they are "ZHENNES") !! I liked that.

...and here they are, BeeKeeper and little green elephant sharing a shelf in Zhenneland ~ during a stage of their journey to completion.
